Struggle
I am having a struggle for inspiration here. Im sorta bummed out, but for no apparent reason. I feel like i need to do something but im not sure what. Im feeling like i have a lot of limitations on what i can do, but in reality I have very few. This is really frustrating me, I need liberation haha. "Singles awareness day" has made me aware haha. Might have to go out there and search for a woman or something like that...maybe not.
This pic looks a bit emo haha but whatever, we need some pics on this shit
load me up
What to load up? Well it's tough to say. There are many peculiarities in life worthy of loading, and those worthy of loading need an audience.
Some reason loads:
er recent loads which may be reasoned:
-Genocide class is unreasonable and impractical. It seeks to quantify something that defies logic, attempting to do so only reduces in presence that it seeks to magnify. It dehumanizes the issue through reason, when the act itself is unreasonable. These actions can be assessed through variables and other measures, but there is no practical purpose, because numbers can't convey scale and atrocity in any real sense. In conclusion this class has been a waste of time and money, and should not be taken unless it satisfies a requirement. Sadly it does.
-the swimsuit issue is good.
-A beagle won the AKC Dog show. Blue collar workers are celebrating everywhere. My beagle took a poop on the carpet in honor of Uno.
-Club Soda is the dankest beverage.
-The writers strike is finally drawing to a close. Finally they can get crap shows off TV, where they pay people for telling the truth. If you like it, you're an idiot. Judgment passed.
ALSO.. along cliff's boredom combatant list lines...
36ish. Go on Craigslist
37. Watch gruesome sports injuries on youtube. Shaun Livingston's injury is particularly intense.
38. Make Draino/2leter popper things. Be careful though, the government is everywhere.
39. Research national police power against discrimination through the commerce clause.

Internship
I've been offered the chance to attend a political leadership seminar in prepartion for a possible internship opportunity. The program is called Gamailiel National Leadership Training, which is run through the Gamaliel foundation a faith based Political Organization. The goals of the organization are still unclear to me, but I've been told the internship itself is a great opportunity. The idea of faith based political activity is somewhat unappealing, even though I'm sure the causes are noble. It seems to me labeling myself in this way could possibly be detrimental. Community outreach itself seems mildly interesting as does "organization building." The emphasis of the actual internship is still unclear. I'm leaning towards not going to the leadership seminar itself because, it would require missing a week of school. The internship is paid which is a nice incentive, and has locations throughout the world including: London, Cape Town, Chicago, New York, Portland, San Diego as well as others. I'm still really reluctant to commit. Honestly, I think I'd rather still be a pawn at a law firm or some lowly employee of a bank. I don't really think I'm cut out for political causes no matter how noble they are, hopefully I'll have the opportunity to work on a more substantive area within the foundation. Obviously financial or legal departments would be intriguing. We'll have to see. Check out and give me your opinion.

http://www.gamaliel.org/default.htm - Gamaliel foundation's homepage.
I'm still actively searching for other opportunities and writing a resume. The resume is pathetic. Maybe that will change.

East Palo Alto Academy Observation 1
I'm volunteering as a student teacher in East Palo Alto, at EPA Academy, for a class I'm taking at Stanford in the School of Education. I have chosen to fill my time during language arts blocks in a 7th grade classroom. East Palo Alto was murder capital USA in the mid-90s and is a very rough neighborhood on the east side of the 101 freeway. Within the comments of this topic is a journal entry I have submitted to my professor for today's class on Friday 2/8/08.

A Summer Morning
A Summer Morning

Waves crash down
The earth spins round
The sun burns proud
The moon pulls now
The tide is just right
Friends light by morning light
The wind spray’s right
With waves of perfect height
Sight of a swell in the distance
Sound of the ocean
Feel of brisk salt water
Taste of cool clean air
Heart beat racing
Arms paddling quickly
Senses a blaze
I drop in
The water spins round
Smiles glow proud
My time is now
Waves crash down
The earth spins round
The sun burns proud
The moon pulls now
The tide is just right
Friends light by morning light
The wind spray’s right
With waves of perfect height
Sight of a swell in the distance
Sound of the ocean

Today was the California Coastal Committee held the hearing at the Del Mar Fairgrounds for wether or not to approve the 241 Toll Road. Tons of members from the Surfrider Foundation as well as many other So-Cal residents came out to support the "Save Trestles" group. I was there and got in on some of the action here is just a couple photos from the day. You can check out more on the Save Trestles group on Facebook.
